Signs of Love between Ahl al Bayt and Abu Bakr (r)

Posted by answersforshiafriend on September 12, 2012

One of the signs of love and friendship that existed between Ahl Al Bayt and Abu Bakr r was the fact that many of them gave Abu Bakr’s name to their sons.

The first was Ali ibn Abi Talib (r), when he called one of his sons Abu Bakr. This is indictive of love, brotherhood and respect for Abu Bakr on the part of Ali.

His sons followed in his footsteps; both Al Hasan and Husayn had sons named Abu Bakr.

This was mentioned by Al Yaqoobi and Al Masoodi, who both are Shia Rafidi historians.(Tareekh al-yaqoobi,2/228;an-Nateejah wal-Ishraf,p.82)

Ahl Al Bayt continued to name their sons Abu Bakr -The nephew of Ali ibn Abi Talib, Abdullah ibn Jafar At Tayyar ibn Abi Talib called one of his sons Abu Bakr.

This is one of the signs of love and friendship among people and is contrary to the claims of the Shias that there was enemity, hatered and differences among them.

Is there ANYONE among the shias today who claims to love Ali and his sons and his progeny carry this name Abu Bakr? Ask the shia why…why don’t they follow in the footsteps of their beloved Ahl Al Bayt?
